This is a great all-around carving tool for roughing out and general carving. This is an alternative to the drop point carving knife we are all used to. A nice curved blade for easy carving. Used for slicing and concave cuts. The curved blade allows you to carve without your blade biting into the wood when making a tight curved cut. The low angled edge makes the knife take off the wood fast. A favorite among decoy carvers. These wood carving knives come to you sharp and ready to use.

    PLEASE remember you are ordering a hand made carving tool, not something stamped out by a machine. As with any handmade item there are differences in the exact construction, therefore the knife may vary slightly from the photos shown. The wood handle you see in the photo may not be the exact color and figure pattern you receive. Photo may not be actual size, please refer to given dimensions.
     Our blades have a near mirror finish. This allows the blade move through the wood smoothly. There may be tooling marks still on the blade which do not affect the performance of the carving tool.
    Each carving tool is individually made and we make every effort to get your knife in the mail within 10 working days, this allows 4 days for shipping. So approximately 2 weeks, give or take a day or two. Please feel free to ask any questions before ordering. info@deepwoodsventures.com

Knife Handle Length:Depending on the style you choose, the handles are approximately5 1/4" in length. This does vary due to the fact that all the handles are handmade. There may be slight variations in the size and shape.
Handle Material:Each handle is created out of North American hardwood. We do our best to find a highly figured piece of wood for each figured handle. The wood shown in the photo may not be the same handle material you receive.
Blade Material:Our wood carving knives are individually forged from W1 tool steel, the benefit of this kind of steel is that it produces a nice hardness that can be easily sharpened and stay sharp for a long time. 5/16" diameter
Sustainability:All the wood that we use to produce our handles comes from local sources. Most of it was destined for the wood chipper.
Tang Length:1 1/2"
