A rugged durable knife for green woodworking, whittling and general wood caring. Made from D2 steel this blade is made to carve tough wood. Suitable for spoon carving, kuksa cup carving and more. 3 blade lengths and 3 different wood options for your handle. If you want to customize your own handle these are also available as a knife blank only.
|Knife Handle Length:||Handles are approx. 5-1/2 - 6" long. This can vary because each handle is individually hand shaped.|

|Blade Material:||We use a sturdy D2 Flat stock steel for our Bushcraft knife. This steel is going to stay sharp for long periods of carving and hold up under rougher use circumstances.|
|Tang Length:||1-1/2 to 2"|
How We Make Carving Knives - Video
PLEASE remember you are ordering a hand made knife, not something stamped out by a machine. As with any handmade item there are differences in the exact construction, therefore the knife may vary slightly from the photos shown. The wood handle you see in the photo may not be the exact color and figure pattern you receive. Photo may not be actual size, please refer to given dimensions.
Our blades have a near mirror finish. This allows the blade move through the wood smoothly. There may be tooling marks still on the blade which do not affect the performance of the knife.
Each Sloyd knife is individually made and we make every effort to get your knife in the mail within 14 working days, this allows 4 days for shipping. So approximately 3 weeks, give or take a day or two. Please feel free to ask any questions before ordering: Send Us an Email
I truly love my knew knife. It's is one of my favorite carving tools.
I have been carving with an old (20 yr old) Sloyd-ish knife. Saw this one and had to have it. A couple hrs of hands on time and I love it. Don’t wait to step up to this caliber of knife. You will see what a pleasure this brings to your carving experience.
Howdy all! I’m fairly new to woodcarving and very excited to get my order in the mail. She’s a beaut Clark. I read the reviews and knew this was the place to go. Paul is a master craftsman. Great customer service as well from deep woods ventures. I look forward to enjoying my sloyd knife and ordering more quality tools in the future. Cheers
Very pleased with this purchase. Handle was a good length and fit for my hand, came razor sharp and works well.
It seems that every one of my new blades from Deepwoods ventures becomes my favorite blade. My new Sloyd is the most versatile blade ever for me. It is great for roughing out large areas in quick order with a beautiful smooth cut.. it can reach areas smaller blades can’t and is sharp enough to trim tight areas hard to reach. With a larger handle than usual it gives it a very strong feel and makes deep long cuts much easier to manage. Just a terrible blade.
