Sharp with great balance!

Love my new sloyd knife. Tool steel that is used is fantastic...sharpens easily and stays that way...and it looks like a piece of art!

Such a Sloyd!

I’m a novice carver and didn’t know what to expect from this knife. It has become my go-to knife when I start a carving. Beautifully made, sturdy, sharpens right up stropping it frequently. Thank you for offering such a sloyd.

Absolutely Phenomenal

As an amateur wood-carver, my opinion may not carry as much weight, but the quality of the craft of this knife is beyond phenomenal. It feels great to hold in the hand and conforms well to my fingers and palm.
What strikes me most is the solid construction. The blade and handle are rocksteady, and I feel confident putting it to firmer woods without concern of warp or flex.

In all, you will love this tool, and I strongly recommend it.

A rugged durable knife for green woodworking, whittling and general wood caring. Made from D2 steel this blade is made to carve tough wood. Suitable for spoon carving, kuksa cup carving and more. 3 blade lengths and 3 different wood options for your handle. If you want to customize your own handle these are also available as a knife blank only.

Knife Handle Length: Handles are approx. 5-1/2 - 6" long. This can vary because each handle is individually hand shaped.
Handle Material: Each handle is created out of North American hardwood. We do our best to find a highly figured piece of wood for each figured handle. The wood shown in the photo may not be the same handle material you receive.
Blade Material: We use a sturdy D2 Flat stock steel for our Bushcraft knife. This steel is going to stay sharp for long periods of carving and hold up under rougher use  circumstances.
Tang Length: 1-1/2 to 2"

How We Make Carving Knives - Video

PLEASE remember you are ordering a hand made knife, not something stamped out by a machine. As with any handmade item there are differences in the exact construction, therefore the knife may vary slightly from the photos shown. The wood handle you see in the photo may not be the exact color and figure pattern you receive. Photo may not be actual size, please refer to given dimensions.
Our blades have a near mirror finish. This allows the blade move through the wood smoothly. There may be tooling marks still on the blade which do not affect the performance of the knife.
Each Sloyd knife is individually made and we make every effort to get your knife in the mail within 14 working days, this allows 4 days for shipping. So approximately 3 weeks, give or take a day or two. Please feel free to ask any questions before ordering: Send Us an Email
